Kids in College is scheduled for June 25-June 29, 2012. The program is designed for students completing Kindergarten-Grade 6. This year's camp will have a STEM focus (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Students will utilize 21st century thinking skills including critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity.The program is designed for Academically Gifted students or teacher recommended students with high academic qualifications from the following criteria:

• Identified Academically Gifted
  

• Achieved a Level 4 on the EOG

• Maintained and A average on Math or Reading

• Recommended by your current teacher

 

Experienced, AIG certified teachers will facilitate learning experiences throughout the week. The classes will be held in the Rhyne Building. Drop off and pick up will at the front of the Rhyne Building. The times are 8:30 AM until 3:00 PM. Space is limited so early registration is encouraged. The cost is $325 per week. Lunch is provided.

Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parents will be notified of acceptance as soon as the following requirements are satisfied:

• A completed application with teacher recommendation

• Permission & Liability forms (signed)

• Emergency Contact Form

• A $50 non-refundable deposit (Returnable only if space is unavailable)

• Total cost is $325 per week, remainder due May 1st

• Parent Meeting on May 24th @7:00 P.M. in the Belk Centrum.
