This meeting was to confirm partnership between the Community College and Lenoir-Rhyne. The "2+2" articulation agreement facilitates the transfer of hours taken in the 2 year Community College Early Childhood Programs to Lenoir-Rhyne¹s Bachelor of Arts 4-year degree programs of Birth to Kindergarten Education Program and the Child and Family Intervention program of study. Specific course equivalencies are clearly outlined in this agreement. Graduates of the LR BK (Birth to Kindergarten) program apply for state teacher licensure and are qualified to teach in Kindergartens, preschool classrooms, More-at-Four classrooms, and home-based family support programs. Early Childhood graduates of the Community College A.A.S. degrees also can transfer hours into the Child and Family Intervention bachelor degree program. Students who aspire to manage a child care program who seek site licensure or care provider accreditation can benefit from the 4 year degree program opportunity as well.
